The Not So Common Starling There is much beauty in common things, we just need to open our eyes to see it. The Starling is one of the most underrated birds. If all you ever see of them is a swirling black mass in the sky or little stick drawings on the wires you are missing much. Take the time in a park to get close to one and see the amazing iridescence of their black, then blue then purple and green feathers and the little spots like stars on their plumage. They may be common but they are one of the most be-jewelled of our garden birds. |

Gathering Thoughts
I work as a Nutritional Therapist. I want to enforce prevention rather than cure because we must take the responsibility for our health not rely on doctors to give us a magic pill t fix what we have ignored and damaged. The area that I am able to cover in my practice is small and I am saddened that there are people out there in need of knowledge who do not know where to find it. IT is for them that this website was created. I hope they find it. I believe that the internet is the way forward in sharing information and lessons that life brings us and preserving the knowledge of our elders. So many ‘old wives tales’ are actually the words of wise women. We must not forget them in this time where we have over complicated life to the degree that we can no longer control it or our health. Too many of us take pills to counter the effect of the other pills we are taking. Awhile back while doing some late night research I came across a website known as ‘owl’s rest’. The author called it her ‘cyber refuge ‘for those in need of wisdom. She has since taken the site down but I owe her for inspiring me to create mine and I hope to live up to what she began many years ago. Thank you Freya. I created this website to be able to reach people who are not near me, and hopefully help them to find their way to better health. I did not study for many years just to make money—health should be the right of everyone, not just the rich. I will be adding a list of resources all over the world to enable people to locate practitioners and books in their area. If you provide a service and wish to be listed send me an email. I welcome information from readers and will be happy to publish and credit. I hope to establish a ‘cyber libray’ for travellers on the sometimes hazardous path of life. The website will continue to grow so stop by again in your travels. |
